Our Branch meetings are held periodically as work commitments allow the Branch officers to organise them. You will be notified via email when and where a Branch meeting is taking place, and details will also be posted here on our website.
The meetings are bound by the rules of the union but are largely informal where everyone can participate should they wish to. Most meetings are for members only, however there are occasions where we have guests addressing meetings on different topics. Every meeting is open to every member, please try to come along.
All members can attend and contribute. For matters important to you, it is possible to contact the Branch Secretary ahead of the meeting and request that a specific item be put on the agenda for discussion.
Alternatively, if something pops into your head during the meeting, you can request a matter to be discussed under "Any Other Competent Business" (AOCB). During the meeting you can ask questions or make observations and share information in relation to any reports discussed at the meeting.
Note: occasionally there is a Branch social event held after annual meetings where members can enjoy a blether and perhaps a drink and a bite to eat.
Our meetings usually include the following items:
Members should submit any item they want to be discussed on the agenda as soon as practically possible after receiving notification of a meeting being held.
The next meeting which members can apply to attend is our hybrid branch meeting on Wednesday 30th April at 18.30 in person at our Aberdeen Office, 106 Crown Street, Aberdeen AB11 6HJ with online access on request.
Dates, times, and locations of meetings and events will be shown here at least two weeks in advance of any meeting or event that the Branch is holding or participating in.
If you are interested in attending please complete the form below, and we will be in touch with more details.
